Rica-Rica
or sometimes commonly called rica is a type of spicy food in the Manadonese cuisine of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Rica-Rica uses lots of chili chunks, cayenne pepper, shallots, garlic, ginger, salt and sugar. All these dishes are cooked in coconut oil and sprinkled with lime leaves, lemon zest and lime juice.
His story made him enter and became famous in Java, it seems that this pepper was introduced for the first time under the rule of the Dutch Indies by the soldiers of the KNIL of Manado who served on the island of Java. During its development in Java, this dish changed from the original and developed a unique Javanese taste.
